Camora - Privacy Policy

The short version: Camora is a camera app. Your photos and videos are processed on your device and saved to your own device - we never upload or see them. We don't have accounts and we don't build a profile of you. The only data leaving your device comes from Google's advertising, billing, and app-integrity services, described below.

This policy explains how the Camora app ("Camora", "we", "us") handles information. Camora is published by SnailPixel. By using Camora you agree to this policy.

1. Your photos and videos

Camora uses your device camera to show live effects and to capture photos and videos.
All image and video processing happens locally on your device.
Captured photos/videos are saved to your device's gallery (Pictures/Movies). They are not sent to us or any third party.
We do not access, collect, upload, or store your camera content.

2. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob. To provide and measure ads, Google and its partners may collect information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, and app-usage/interaction data, and may use it for personalized or non-personalized ads per Google's policies.

You can reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads).

3. Purchases (Google Play Billing)

The optional one-time "Unlimited" upgrade is processed by Google Play Billing. Google handles your payment; we never receive or store your payment details. To confirm a purchase is valid, our server checks the purchase token with Google's Play Developer API - no personal or payment information is involved.

4. App integrity verification

To protect against tampered or pirated copies, Camora uses the Google Play Integrity API. On launch, the app requests an integrity token from Google and sends it (together with your purchase token, if any) to our verification service at camora.snailpixel.com, which forwards it to Google to confirm the app is a genuine Google Play install and that any "Unlimited" entitlement is a real purchase.

These tokens contain no personal identity information and are used only for verification.
Our verification service is stateless - it stores nothing and keeps no logs of personal data.

5. Permissions

Camera - required to show the live preview and capture photos/videos.
Photos/Media/Storage - used only to save your captures to your gallery.
Internet / Network state - used for ads, purchases, and the integrity check above.

6. Data we store

We do not operate user accounts and do not maintain a database of users. Camora stores a few settings locally on your device (e.g. your daily capture count and whether you've purchased Unlimited). Our servers store no personal data.

7. Children

Camora is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Data security & sharing

Traffic to our verification service is encrypted with HTTPS. We do not sell your data. The only third parties involved are Google's services described above (AdMob, Play Billing, Play Integrity), acting under their own privacy policies.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
